Cooperative Societies, Underlying and Boosting Cooperation in New Iranian Year
Cooperative societies pave suitable bedrock for boosting and intensifying cooperation in current year (started March ۲۱, ۲۰۱۵). Announcing the above in an interview with our reporter, Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Dr. Ali Rabiei pointed to the measures taken in this regard in line with generating employment and said: «With the studies made in this regard, generation of employment opportunities will be followed up strictly in small- and mid-size economic enterprises.

Announcing the above in an interview with our reporter, Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare Dr. Ali Rabiei pointed to the measures taken in this regard in line with generating employment and said: «With the studies made in this regard, generation of employment opportunities will be followed up strictly in small- and mid-size economic enterprises.» The ministry inked cooperation agreement with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) last year, he said, adding: «In this mutual agreement, we studied potentials and capabilities experienced in India, Brazil and Mexico in terms of generation of new employment opportunities.» Turning to the current year's motto of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare on «Social Dialogue on Cooperatives», he said: «Employment will be generated using invigoration of cooperatives in order to attain quality welfare condition.» Eradication of poverty and depravity in the field of cooperatives is the most appropriate way which should be taken into serious consideration, he said, adding: «For this purpose, eradication of poverty and depravity should be targeted in society, so that public participation should be invigorated instead of making hefty investment in relevant issues.»Elsewhere in his remarks, he placed special emphasis on redefining concept of cooperatives and said: «Some part of justice should be implemented in the field of cooperatives. In the same direction, cooperative societies should be reorganized and this affair should start from small villages and cities.» Attitude towards cooperatives should be changed, he said, adding: «To materialize objectives in cooperatives sector, we have signed letters of understanding with governor general across the country in order to turn cooperatives into more attractive economic enterprises.»
