Rostam Qasemi said that Iraq's budget for ۲۰۱۴ is ۱۴۷ billion dollars and Iran should play fruitful role in that country to receive some proper part of it.
Iran's first vice president's advisor went on to say that Iran is a rich country in terms of hydrocarbon reserves and has long borders with some 15 countries. These features have made a top status for the country.
The Supreme Leader has notified the policies of Resistance Economy, and for reaching stable development, Iran should implement them as soon as possible, he noted.
Given the potentialities of Iran, these policies should bring export-based production for the country, Qasemi commented.
Iraq enjoyed some lucrative economy in the past, but, it needs reconstruction and development at the present, and Iran should play role in this due, he added.
We try to remove some of the problems in development of trade with Iraq and also try to develop our presence in that country, he mentioned.
Iraq's budget is mainly allocated to reconstruction of the country and Iranian companies should make the best use of this opportunity, he further commented.
Serious reconstruction of Iraq has not still began, Qasemi said, adding, Iraqi market is an old and lasting market and Iranian companies should be present in it with the factors of quality, speed and proper price, for the constant presence in this market.
He said Iraq requires serious reconstruction and this condition is an opportunity for the Iranian companies' presence in different fields of development in that country.
By having serious presence in Iraqi market, not only should Iran's private sector stabilize its status in Iraq, but it also try for development of that country, he highlighted.
Referring to some decisions made by the Iraqi government which prevents from presence of Iranian companies in that country, the secretary of Iran-Iraq Joint Economic Development Headquarters stated: "We should take some tactful steps to remove these barriers as soon as possible, and also given that Iranians have no good presence in the Iraqi market at the present, we should make some serious change in this due."
Iran's first vice president's advisor went on to say that some of Iranian traders and businessmen see Iraqi market a throwaway market and such approach has become a barrier for the presence of Iranians in the market of Iraq, so it necessarily should be changed.
Referring to large destruction in Iraq and necessity of reconstructing that country, Qasemi emphasized that given the Iran-Iraq political ties, some proper ground has been created for the presence of Iranian economic activists in that country and it is hoped that we can develop and stabilize our presence in the Iraqi market.
